Oh.... my goodness. Tried it for the first time a few days ago and I was expecting it to be good, but I didn't expect it to be so distinctly delicious. The perfectly balanced spiciness, the crispy fried skin and the super juicy and fully flavored meat! Even the chicken breast! So good! The mac n baked beans were nothing to fuss over. I just will never respect the cheese sauce approach. I'm a baked mac n cheese casserole style person. But for y'all that like this kind, you'll probably really like it. And baked beans... Just something I feel like I should never pay a cent for in a restaurant when Busch typically does it better, straight out of the can. Again, neither of the sides were bad... But the star?! Clearly the chicken. I'll be going back for just chicken and bread. And I'll try the pecan pie and ice cream.

My wife and I ordered take out from Gus’s for lunch one day never having it before. I went in to place the order and the place was clean and welcoming. The staff was very nice and helpful. I told them it was my first time so he informed me that their chicken had a bit of a kick to it. The tenders had less of a kick but all their chicken was seasoned with a spice of some sort. I got a 2 piece dark meat with Mac & cheese and potatoes salad. The chicken was good, served hot. The Mac and cheese was OK, same with the potato salad, nothing to write home about you know. My wife ordered the chicken tenders with French fries. The fries were also seasoned with something. The tenders were big and juicy. Very good bang for your buck. The fries...were alright. I know they are famous for their chicken but I expected more from their sides and that’s why I docked them 1 Star. I know I would try their chicken again, I liked the spice. My wife would not because she did not like the spice

Chicken is always perfect. Crispy, juicy, not undercooked or overcooked, and great portions! Wait staff at the Royal Oak location are always so pleasant! They’re all super patient, nice and accommodating. Love this place!

Hands down our favorite fried chicken place. Prices are reasonable, and the service is decently quick. The brown meat chicken is so delicious. Breaded to perfection with a slight spice but not too much. Also try the Mac and cheese, you won’t regret it! So nice to have this place close by and also on Grubhub for those days we don’t want to leave the house. Don’t miss out, try this place now!!

Awesome chicken, fries, and cole slaw! Friendly service! Everything is made fresh so it takes longer than fast food but we thought it was worth it
